Julie Cortal Appointed Chief Commercial Officer at NoPalm Ingredients
At NoPalm Ingredients, we’re excited to share that Julie Cortal has been promoted to Chief Commercial Officer, effective August 21, 2025.
Julie joined the company in October 2022 as Head of Business Development, and in less than three years has helped transform the commercial landscape. With her team, she has built partnerships with global leaders in food and beauty, including companies like Colgate-Palmolive, Zeelandia, and Unilever, designed and executed the go-to-market strategy, and led industrial pilots with major industry players to prove both the performance of the ingredients and the strength of the business model.
Under her leadership, NoPalm Ingredients secured several strategic contracted partnership revenues at a very early stage and built a robust pipeline of qualified opportunities across the food and beauty industries. Her team also negotiated strategic partnerships with leading food manufacturers to secure sidestream supply for NoPalm Ingredients’ future production facilities.
What makes Julie unique is her ability to see the industry from both sides, bridging science and business. With roots in food science and innovation, she spent years at Mars in R&D and product innovation, where she led projects to replace strategic ingredients across European markets. This gave her first-hand experience with the technical and commercial complexities our customers face when reformulating. She later moved into leadership roles in route-to-market, commercial strategy, and brand scaling, experience that allows her to combine deep technical fluency with strategic execution and a results-driven mindset.

Now, as Chief Commercial Officer, Julie will lead the global go-to-market strategy, drive customer and supplier success, and strengthen NoPalm Ingredients’ position as the leading alternative to palm and other tropical oils. Her appointment comes at a pivotal moment: demand for sustainable fats and oils is surging, conventional commodities like palm oil and cocoa butter are facing unprecedented supply challenges, and regulatory urgency is accelerating the shift toward alternatives.
